'Gone with the Bullets' by Jiang Wen to be Released on December 18; Receives A-Grade from Hollywood Critics

Mainland Chinese multi-hyphenate Jiang Wen's upcoming film 'Gone with the Bullets' has been announced to open on December 18 and is expected to become his blockbuster 3D film that would follow the footsteps of its hit prequel 'Let the Bullets Fly' which was released back in 2010.
The release of the film 'Gone with the Bullets' has finally been announced and it has already been confirmed that it would be making its debut in theatres this coming December 18.

'Gone with the Bullets', according to Chinese media outlets, revolves around a beauty contest held in 1920s Shanghai. The film features Chinese actress and model Shu Qi, actor Ge You and Jiang himself who lended his creative talent in co-writing and directing the film.
Reports say that the cast and crew of 'Gone with the Bullets' have wrapped its filming in New York earlier this year. Insider reports say that Columbia Pictures has organized an unofficial early screening of the movie for many Hollywood insiders.
Furthermore, the critics who have been present at the early screening were said to have given a positive feedback to the film, particularly its direction. Said critics have allegedly given 'Gone with the Bullets' an A-grade and claimed that the it is the best Chinese film in two decades. Additionally, the grpahics used in the film has impressed film editors that have been used to working with top grade Hollywood blockbusters.
Other than the direction of the film, the script has also been praised by the critics and was described as humorous, witty, tender as well as emotionally gratifying. One of the critics purportedly claimed that the film had been a satisfying movie to watch, even comparing it to Quentin Tarantino films.
Keith Young, the choreographer of the film has also praised the funny yet emotionally-moving storyline, also praising the director of the film, Jiang, saying that what left an impression to him was the line in the film was the one that goes, "Today, we make history."
Catch 'Gone with the Bullets' in theatres on December 18.
