Comedian Andy Dick was arrested on suspicion of grand theft after he allegedly stole someone else's necklace on Friday.
The actor stayed in jail for a night following his arrest. Dick has yet to issue a statement about the incident.
According to People magazine, Dick was seen roaming around town in a bicycle when he stopped by a man who was wearing an expensive necklace. He reportedly asked if he could check out the man's jewelry, and the man had agreed. But after the man handed the necklace to him, Dick allegedly ran away with it using his bike and never returned. The alleged victim called the police and told the whole story.

According to E! News, the actor was reached by the police in Hollywood on November 14 at 11:10 pm. They kept him in prison overnight and released him at 5:20 am the next day on a $25,000 bail.
Should the judge find Dick guilty, he will serve up to 3 years of jail time in California. However, if the charge was degraded to a misdemeanor, the sentence will be reduced to just one year of jail time.
Although there are no reports of Dick being under the influence when he was arrested, he is known for having struggled with drugs for years and even openly admitted it on TV.
This is not the first time he was arrested for his inappropriate actions, as he had already experienced being charged for misdemeanor with drugs and alcohol involved.
Dick is due in court on December 4.
