British flag carrier British Airways has launched its newest Boeing 787 Dreamliner this week to serve direct flights between London and China's Chengdu.
British Airways also added more flights to the London-Chengdu route, raising the weekly trips to five from three.
Keith Williams, Executive Chairman of British Airways, was pleased to announce that they were able to keep their promise to their passengers in Chengdu with the latest Boeing 787 Dreamliner's arrival.

The new development will mark the first time that the aircraft will be utilized to cater to international direct flights to and from China's Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, considered as one of the fastest growing hub air terminal in the country.
Williams said the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a popular modern aircraft, will become a major fixture in the fleet of British Airways in the coming years, as part of the £5 Billion (about US $8.43 billion) investment program to optimize passengers' comfort onboard the plane, whether it be in the air or even while on the ground.
The flag carrier of the UK has also increased the number of flights between the airports of Chengdu and London, from three flights to five every week.
Because of this development, Chairman Li Wei of Sichuan Province Airport Group stated that the actions of the British Airways have magnified the importance of the airport in Chengdu as aviation terminal in China, and helped bridge the increasing partnership between the UK and Sichuan in trade, business, as well as technology.
The British flag carrier had utilized the Boeing 777-200 plane during its three-times a week service since the Chengdu-London route was launched in September 2013.
ritish Airways, an original member of the Oneworld airline association, has a large route network in the world, servicing over 170 cities in 75 countries. It has been flying to and from China for the last 30 years.
