The pre-wedding festivities started Friday night. Solange was seen wearing an elegant modern bridal-style dress as she and lovey dear were holding hands as they entered the Indywood Cinema theatre, were Mahogany, starring Diana Ross, was being shown.
Beyonce, meanwhile, was heading toward the theatre unaccompanied.
Solange's son with former hubby Daniel Smith, Julez, also played a big role in the event.
Solange dropped hints of her engagements with Ferguson after posting a photo on Instagram as they were embracing each other while swimming in the sea on her birthday.
The post comes with a heartfelt message to her fans and loved ones, saying: "Today couldn't have been more perfect. I couldn't have smiled harder. Thank you for all of your lovely and wonderful wishes. They warmed my heart and I simply feel grateful for all of the love."
Fans then hastened to ask the singer if the two had already gotten engaged triggering Solange to remove the picture.
Solange and Ferguson, who works as a music video director and has collaborated with high-wattage stars including Katy Perry, Nelly Fortado, and, of course, Beyoncé and Jay Z, decided to move from Brooklyn to New Orleans. They have been living here for months already.
