Recently launched in Japan and Korea, Galaxy Note Edge is known as the odd but tech advanced phone from the Korean based tech giant Samsung.
Nexus 6, on the other hand, is the co-produced phablet from Google and HTC that's been the subject of several rumors even before its initial launch. Among its standout features are, of course, Google's latest operating system, Android Lollipop 5.0. Nexus 6 is the very first device to run the latest operating system.
So, to help you decide, here are the important facts about these two high-end phablets. First up is the operating system. Nexus 6 features the latest Android L while Galaxy Note Edge still has Android Kitkat 4.4. Rumors are that Note Edge will also be available for the 5.0 update.
In terms of build, Google and HTC's flagship smartphone is bigger compared to Samsung's at 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inches versus 5.96 x 3.24 x 0.33 inches.
Nexus 6 is also heavier, 6.49 oz. compared to the 6.14 oz. of Note Edge. Google Nexus 6 also sports a bigger 6.0-inch Amoled display while Samsung Galaxy Note Edge features a 5.6-inch Super Amoled display.
Nexus is bigger but Note Edge is sharper with its 1440 x 2560 resolution that translates to 525 pixel density compared to Nexus 6's similar resolution but inferior 493 ppi.
Camera wise, Galaxy Note Edge comes out on top with its 16 MP main snapper compared to Nexus 6's 13 MP rear-facing camera. Google and HTC have a Dual LED flash while Samsung has single flash while Note Edge is still equipped with a better selfie camera, 3.7 MP compared to Nexus 6's 2 MP front-facing camera.
Google Nexus 6 is again better in terms of its 3220 mAh power source compared to Samsung Galaxy Note Edge's 3000 mAh battery. Both smartphones, on the other hand, have Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
If you want to know how much these top caliber gadgets costs then you better keep your ears and eyes open.
