(Photo : Reuters) After a year of planning, Facebook has finally opened an Artificial Intelligence Lab in Paris with an intention to work more closely with the AI community in France.
Facebook is currently working on something that will compete against Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and LinkedIn.
The new website is called "Facebook at Work" and it's also expected to help the company compete with related products launched by Google and Microsoft.
The new enterprise-focused product has the same functionality as its current site. It has newsfeed, groups and a messaging capability.

Its latest additional feature, however, will allow users to chat with their colleagues, connect with professional contacts and collaborate over documents.
Facebook at Work will let users to keep their personal accounts separate from the work identity. No information about a user's social profile will appear on his professional page and vice versa.
Reports said a "Facebook at Work" website is being used by the company's staff. Now, it's being tested on workers at other companies prior to its launch.
If "Facebook at Work" goes public, it'll be a big help to the company as it battles to gain market share from LinkedIn, Google and Microsoft. It will challenge Google Drive, email and chat services and Microsoft's Outlook email service, Office software and Yammer, the corporate social network
Reports also said Facebook is unlikely to charge for the initial release of the service.
Facebook hasn't formally commented about this.
