Indian Man Gets Bar of Soap and not the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 He Ordered

It's isn't April Fool's Day yet but a man that ordered a Samsung Galaxy Core 2 was fooled after receiving a package containing a bar of soap and not his entry-level Android smartphone.

Instead of taking the faulty delivery as a joke, Laxminarayan Krishnamurthy from India posted his anger on a social networking site.

The resident of Mumbai ordered a newly released mid-range phone from Snapdeal, a well-known online store in India. But to his surprise, the box he received didn't contain the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 handset. Inside the box was a bar of Vim soap and a stone scrubber.

After he complained on Facebook, Snapdeal corrected the mistake by refunding Krishnamurthy payment for his Samsung Galaxy Core 2. This is an isolated case in India, but a mistake in delivery can happen to anyone.

So what should be the real content of a Samsung Galaxy Core 2 package, aside from its manual and several accessories such as a charger, microSD cable, and headsets?.

Launched few months ago along with Galaxy Ace 4 and Galaxy Young 2, Samsung Galaxy Core 2, is a mid-range Android handset from the Korea-based tech giant. The entry-level droid phone isn't as high end as Samsung's flagship smartphone but it's still powered by powerful hardware.

According to GSM Arena, the handset, which has a 480 x 800 resolution and 207 pixel density, has 130.3 x 68 x 9.8 mm measurements and weighs 138 grams. Samsung Galaxy Core 2 runs the current Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and can be included in the long list of phones that will have the Android Lollipop 5.0 update next year.

Hardware is the asset of this entry-level device as it's powered by a Quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It has 768 MB of RAM and a 4 GB internal capacity that can be expanded up to 64 GB through the microSD slot.

Galaxy Core 2 has a nice enough camera with its 5 MP rear facing snapper with LED flash. In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM smartphone also has 3G capability that can translate into 21 Mbps on HSPDA and 5.76Mbps HSUPA provided you're connected and have a good signal. Its 2000 mAh battery is also commendable considering the mid-range phone's specs.
