Amazon Announces Lambda Cloud Service For Developers

(Photo : Reuters) Amazon has banned the sale of substandard Type-C USB products on its e-commerce platform.
Although online retail giant Amazon is best known for its e-commerce store, the company is quickly becoming a favorite in the web and applications service tools market.
To beef up its developer tools, Amazon announced at the Amazon Web Services' annual conference in Las Vegas, a new cloud service named Lambda, for developers. Lambda is a whole new type of application creator for developers with cloud intentions, and looks to fit in with the new "Internet of Things" trend, where multiple devices connect together to one main hub.

Developers are divided on whether this is an innovative product or too simplistic to offer advancement. The general vibe from social media points to Lambda at least having some advantages over traditional platforms.
Dynamic applications that include "events" will work with Lambda. The cloud-computing infrastructure makes it easier to save and access all of the system through one application. This ties developers directly into Amazon and Amazon Web Services. For developers who want to use another cloud service, there is no telling how hard it will be to remove Amazon from the service.
Amazon has placed big bets on the enterprise and developer sector of its business, regularly beating Microsoft Azure and IBM on price, while maintaining the same functionality and hopefully offering a better experience.
This means the Amazon Web Services venture is still not as profitable as some other enterprise toolkits, but that is similar to all of Amazon's services. CEO Jeff Bezos has often said the company is in for the long-term and does not care about short-term profits.
