Faye Wong's ex-husband Li Yapeng said definitely "No, I won't" when he was asked if he would be back to the actor role, showing his decision on his withdrawal of entertainment circle. Li said he would focus on his business project and achieve his ideal to work on philanthropy.
When Li was in the full flush of success in his acting career, he was surprisingly fade out from the entertainment circle. When he was seen in public, his role was changed to be a founder of Smile Angel Foundation, an ambassador of COART art festival culture exchange, and the president of Shuyuan China, except what audience are most favorite, "actor" and "artist".

"Even though I do not admit myself to belong to entertainment circle, it is very difficult to change people's opinion," said Li. In terms of the role change, Li frankly stated, "Actor is the first career in my life. I still respect and like this career very much at the bottom of my heart. But life bring me many missions and responsibilities. I would like to have a more colorful life."
As many other charities established by stars, Smile Angel Foundation has experienced difficulties during its eight years since it was established. Li felt it is not easy for a public figure to do philanthropy but he insists to keep doing it because that was a gift for his daughter. "I hope to feel no shame on myself," Li said.
Based on 20-year accumulation and effort on art culture, Li's business is a cross-border attempt of different forms in art culture industry. In November 2012, COART art scene founded by Li opened in Lijiang Shuhe Old Town in Yunnan province, China. There are spring and fall sessions of COART every year. Li not only always participates in each activities in the COART event but also invites good friends in entertainment circle to join.
Li also invested and founded Beijing Spring Media Group in 2001 with his elder brother and other people to invest and produce dramas, movies and plays. He is not exclude to invest more film and TV works.
