Brooke Shields has made a narration of her heart's interests in her book "There Was a Little Girl." It was written there that she had been seeing actor Liam Neeson in 1992 whom she said to have pursued her with his poetry and pinot grigio wine, San Jose Mercury News reported.
Also mentioned is her affair with Dean Cain, an actor and a classmate at Princeton University. Cain came before Neeson, and it was with the former that Shields lost her virginity. A part of the memoir came out in People magazine which stated that their relationship got serious in three months time and Neeson spurted a proposal. Shields response was not clear and remains a mystery.

After that they were together for Christmas in New York with her mom, Teri Shields. That evening Neeson had a flight to Los Angeles explaining that he needs to check on his house. And he never called upon reaching the place despite Shields request to make a call when he arrives home.
Something negative seemed to be brewing in their midst. However, it did not end there. A proposal was made again by Neeson which, according to Shields, she might include in her memoir because it would just unnecessarily lengthen "There Was a Little Girl."
She only provided an overview, saying that he came back to ask her hand sometime before he started "Anna Christie." A proposal to which Shields firmly said no, because she believes that with his character, he might easily fall in love with another, probably another leading lady, which exactly happened with Natasha Richardson in 1994.
