The National Football League's (NFL) Dallas Cowboys enjoy their well-timed bye week as every other National Football Conference (NFC) East team were handed losses.
The last time the entire NFC East teams lost during the Cowboys bye week was in 2009. This was also the last time that the Cowboys had a 7-3 record, as well as the last time the team made it to the playoffs.

This past Sunday was a terrible weak for the NFC East teams.
For starters, the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Green Bay Packers with an embarrassingly large deficit of 33 points (53-20).
With the loss of the Eagles' quarterback Nick Foles, the team was headed by backup Mark Sanchez who was 26 of 44 for 346 yards. He threw two touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Packers' defense was also instrumental in keeping the Eagles at such a low score, as Clay Matthews started getting more time as inside linebacker. He finished with five tackles and a sack after rushing from his traditional outside spot.
The New York Giants also lost to the San Francisco 49ers (16-10).
The Giants had multiple opportunities to go for drives and win the game. However, the 49ers' defense was also key, as they had five interceptions throughout the whole game.
Rookie linebacker Chris Borland intercepted two of the five interceptions. He is the first 49ers rookie to have two interceptions in one game, and joins Ken Norton Jr., in 1995 as the only 49ers linebacker with two interceptions in game over the past 40 years.
This error-filled game marked the fifth straight loss of the Giants.
Eli Manning admitted that the loss was mostly his fault and that he had to protect the ball more and turn it over less. He finished 22 of 45 for 280 yards.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers also routed the Washington Redskins (27-7).
The bye week was a blessing for the Cowboys, especially quarterback Tony Romo who is currently waiting for his fractured back to heal.
The Cowboys will return to action next week, facing fellow NFC East Team, the Giants.
