Former Major League Baseball (MLB) outfielder and designated hitter Jose Canseco has released a statement saying that he will be selling his finger that fell off recently.
The 50-year-old baseball veteran shot himself in the hand last Oct. 28. He told the police that his gun accidentally went off while he was cleaning it in the kitchen. It misfired and took off his finger.

The gun he was cleaning was a .45 caliber Remington, which is incidentally also up for sale.
Afterwards, he was rushed to the hospital and had it surgically re-attached.
Weeks later, Canseco took to Twitter to let everybody know what had happened to his finger.
Last Nov. 15, Canseco tweeted that he was playing in a poker tournament when all of a sudden, his finger just fell off. He also added that the finger was already very loose with no bone to connect it, and that it was starting to smell horrible.
In hindsight, Canseco recalls that it should have been amputated from the beginning.
Following these events, he continued to tweet that he put his finger in the freezer. He made light of the situation and made jokes about how his finger will eventually turn into an appetizer, or as he calls it, 'finger food'.
Only recently has Canseco revealed his grand master plan for his fallen finger. Taking to Twitter again, he said that he will be putting it up for sale on eBay soon.
"The eBay ad will read slightly used middle finger with 462 home runs could be used as a stirring straw for drinks."
While it is an interesting and creative plan, eBay has a policy that disallows human remains or body parts to be sold in the site.
