In a New York Times T Magazine interview with Willow and Jaden Smith, the teen performers talked of higher consciousness, time, hologramic realities and the fact that school is overrated.
When asked about their current reading materials, instead of mentioning love stories or sci-fi novels, 14-year old Willow said that she's been devouring "Quantum Physics" by Osho, while the 16-year old squinty-eyed Jaden stated that he's been reading ""The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life" and ancient texts; things that can't be pre-dated."

And speaking about their music, the aspiring artists shared flowery statements that they themselves probably didn't understand either.
Jaden stated, "The P.C.H. being one of them; the melancholiness of the ocean; the melancholiness of everything else," while Willow shared, "And the feeling of being like, this is a fragment of a holographic reality that a higher consciousness made."
The siblings, born of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, while talking about existentialism, also shared that they feel that school is "not authentic" and "not real" because as Jaden put it, "our learning will never end".
"Forever, 'til the day that we're in our bed," Willow added to her brother's statement.
The pair then said that teens who go to "normal school" are too angsty and too tired so they never want to do anything.
"You never learn anything in school. Think about how many car accidents happen every day. Driver's ed? What's up? I still haven't been to driver's ed because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can't see how driver's ed is really helping them out," Jaden rambled on, spewing a lot but never really getting to a logical point.
Yup, they really did say those things.
If you're feeling like slamming your head against the wall, or yelling at your computer screen about how pretentious these teens are, you aren't alone. Many took to Twitter to express their annoyance, anger and even fright over the pair's obvious attempt at sounding smarter than their years.
One user tweeted, "This Jaden/Willow Smith interview is parody. I will not be convinced otherwise," while another posted, "Slightly terrified of Will Smith's kids, who appear to be kinds of higher beings. "Our learning will never end".
