Benedict Morelli, Tracy Morgan's lawyer, appeared at a scheduled court hearing in a New Jersey court to represent his client in a lawsuit filed by the star and his companions against Wal-mart.
Morgan is suing the grocery chain for punitive and compensatory damages following the company's public statement that they believe that Morgan and his companions were partly to blame for a vehicular accident caused by the company's truck driver, who had been driving for hours without sleep. Wal-mart blames the star and his friends for not wearing seatbelts.

After the said hearing, Morelli disclosed that the former "30 Rock" comedian is still trying to recover from a serious brain injury. The injury is a result of the said vehicular accident that occurred more than 5 months ago.
Morelli admitted that they are unsure if the performer will return to being "the Tracy Morgan he once was".
Aside from a severe brain injury, Morgan is also trying to recuperate from a broken leg, nose and ribs.
Morelli shared that although Morgan has a lot of struggles ahead, the performer is continuing to fight to get better.
Consciously omitting specific details about the comedian's plight, Morelli admitted that it will take time before they really know how he's going to go about recovering, and how much he can actually recover.
"He's still fighting and trying to live his life at the same time and trying to get better, and he's just not better. We're hoping and praying to get him back to where he was. But the jury's out," Morelli added.
Although Morgan has been seen going to the doctor, smiling, and saying that he is okay to photographers, recovery seems to be a far off goal, with his comedy series for FX Network being put on hold. The said series was supposed to have begun shooting in August.
