Netflix initiated preparations for its forthcoming expansion to Australia and New Zealand markets in March 2015, taking into consideration the huge number of possible customers outside the United States.
The entertainment powerhouse was the first to provide online streaming of TV Shows and movies to internet-connected viewers, which eventually surpassed the services offered by traditional cable broadcasters. It is reported that "Marco Polo" and "Bo Jack Horseman" will be offered on the launching of Netflix in March.

Once carried out, web users in New Zealand and Australia would be able access and watch films and TV shows upon subscription to Netflix. Details on the procedures and content for subscribers in two countries are yet to be announced. The company said that the programming, devices and the corresponding rates will be made available soon.
Yahoo news reported on a disheartening growth of members, approximately three million only, according to the financial report of California-based Netflix. It was followed by the company's move to expand to attain a huge number of subscribers worldwide to about 53.1 million.
The company claimed that people in Australia and New Zealand are enthusiastic on the forthcoming expansion in their areas, considering that Australian viewers could not access US website. Since 2012, they have made the service available in Sweden, the Netherlands, Britain, Ireland, Norway and Denmark.
It further reported that Netflix will be rivaled by Time Warner's HBO soon, which is also having plans to launch a streaming service that does not require satellite subscriptions or cable connection.
