Jonas Gray, running back for the National Football League's (NFL) New England Patriots, has just increased his yardage to 201 yards with a breakout performance against the Indianapolis Colts. The Patriots won that game, 42-20.

His breakout performance, while initially already quite an amazing feat, just got better.

The NFL and the Elias Sports Bureau made an official change to Gray's rushing total for last Sunday night's game. The change gave Gray 37 carries for 201 yards instead of 38 carries for 199 yards.

During the game's fourth quarter, it was third down with two yards until a renewal of downs. With 10:31 left on the clock, Gray had a carry that went for negative 2 yards.

However, there was a penalty enforced on the play as the Colts defense was offsides. The accepted penalty though was a personal foul on facemasks on Colts linebacker, Erik Walden.

Due to the penalties, the play was nullified. This means that the play never happened and Gray had zero negative yards in the game.

In addition to his impressive yardage, Gray also finished the game with four touchdowns. This is a Patriots regular season franchise record.

He also becomes the only third running back in Patriots history, to rush for more than 200 yards in a game.

He joins Tony Collins, who rushed for 212 yards in September 18, 1983 against the New York Jets, and Jim Nance, who ran for 208 yards in October 30, 1966 against the Oakland Raiders.

The accomplishments keep piling up, as no other NFL player in the current season has rushed for more than 200 yards in a single game.

With the stat correction in place, Gray joins Pittsburgh Steelers' running back Le'Veon Bell, who ran for 204 yards last Monday night, as the only two players this season to reach the feat.
