United States President Barack Obama announced on Thursday that there are already executive actions being done in order to protect the more than five million illegal immigrants in the U.S., but the Republicans are quick to counter his statement and are ready for the anticipated disagreements.

According to the spokesman of House Speaker John Boehner, Michael Steel, if "Emperor" Obama will be ignoring the Americans and continue with his plans regarding amnesty, he will be known all the more for being lawless and ruin the chances of the Congress to act on the issue.
Steel added that Obama always said that the migration reform is beyond his Constitutional authority resulting to his latest announcement be all the more questioned. Steel referred to Obama as the emperor as he said back in 2010 that he has obligations on immigration laws but he is not the emperor of the U.S.
Another Republican, Ohio Representative Steve Stivers, said they are struggling to figure out what they really need to do as their party is aiming to defund certain programs of the government and sue the U.S. President.
Also, Kentucky Republican Representative Hal Rogers pressed that they want to pass a bill that would be funding the government but they would like to avoid a government shutdown citing the 2013 shut down last year, which was reportedly very damaging.
Another Republican Representative from Florida identified as Mario Diaz-Balart pressed that they want the new Congress to start fresh noting that a government shutdown is not acceptable and is not a path that would take the nation forward.
Ever since the migration reform has been announced other groups have also stated their opposition regarding this. According to the president of an immigration-reduction group called Numbers USA, Roy Beck, the vote regarding the pushed law will be in favor of the Obama amnesty.
