"Fighting formalism with formalism will have negative effects," he said. "Healthy work styles are created through fostering resistance to disease and dispelling pathogenic influences."
Xi is in Lankao County to sit down and meet with members of the standing committee of the local party committee on problems and wrong actions taken in implementing the government campaign and how these can be corrected.
This visit of the president is part of the second phase of the CPC campaign wherein each of the seven members of the CPC standing committee were assigned a county to supervise. Lankao is assigned to the president.
During the meeting, the President urged members of the local standing committee to remain faithful to Communist tenets and to do their work with diligence and seriousness.
All reports especially those from the grassroots of any wrong practices that show violation of the work styles the government is promoting should be listened to and acted on to reach a solution, Xi added.
Xi also directed the officials of the county to be fair and not to abuse their power and to put serious effort in working more for the betterment of the people's welfare.
The government's campaign according to the president has produced encouraging results saying that the campaign has shown that wrong work styles in different forms and complexities can be detected and corrected.
Xi stressed the need for implementing a system to ensure long term results are derived from the government initiative.
