Hong Kong-based Canto-pop recording artist Yumiko Cheng announces her first pregnancy, following her marriage with Hong Kong's renowned makeup artist Andy Leung last year.

According to media outlets, Cheng has revealed she was pregnant and that she has gone past her first trimester. The musician, who got married to Leung last year in Thailand, has announced the happy news last night, November 21, during the Christmas event she attended in Times Square.

The 33-year old mother-to-be was not able to conceal her happiness while sharing her milestone to the press. Additionally, she also revealed that her first trimester has gone very smoothly, claiming that she has not gone through the usual discomforts of the first stages of her gestation period. Unlike other first time mothers, she did not feel nauseous.

Cheng, who was a former member of the girl group 3T along with Mandy Chiang and Maggie Lau, has also disclosed that ever since she became pregnant, her husband has been treating her like a 'queen'. Despite not experiencing any cravings yet, the Canto-pop singer has also revealed that she is loving the fact that because of her pregnancy, she is privileged to ask for anything she wants.

When she was asked whether she prefers to have a son or a daughter, the singer revealed that she and her husband, Leung, have opposing ideas about it. While she was wishing to have a daughter, he wants to have a son.

Cheng and Leung's baby is believed to make an appearance around April next year.

As for her career, Cheng became a solo artists in 2003, by releasing her first album entitled, 'One2Three' followed by 'Perfect Date' which was released back in 2004.  She has already released a total of 11 albums including her latest release entitled, 'I'm Lucky Girl' which included her new songs and some of the best selections from her previous albums.
