Canadian band Nickelback's front man Chad Kroeger expressed his thoughts on turning forty in a recent interview, stating that he doesn't really care much about his age, and at the same time, also revealed his wife, singer Avril Lavigne's views on the same topic.
Although Kroeger and Lavigne both celebrated major birthdays this year, Kroeger sates that he and his wife had entirely different perspectives on turning their respective ages. During a recent interview with a Canadian media outlet, he further explained that Lavigne considers her turning 30 a "big one" while he hasn't given much thought about his own change of age.

He adds that turning forty doesn't bother him because of the fact that he is generally content.
The 40-year old musician stated that he simply didn't care about the matter, citing that if a person is really happy with where he or she is in his or her life, it would not really matter how old one person is turning. He said so, while singing next to another Nickelback member.
"If you're unhappy in life, each birthday you have, especially the landmark ones, tend to be a reminder of how much time is slipping away," he said, "and you haven't accomplished or found that person or whatever it is in your life."
He further expressed that it wasn't too bad [turning 40 years old], claiming that he has got a 'great gig' and everything was pretty much good in his life since he can do what he likes best, which is music, and he is married.
"Turning 40 is no big deal," the 'Someday' singer stated.
However, since he's turned 40, his wife has been teasing him endlessly about it. Kroeger related that when he was 39, Lavigne would insist that he is already 40 years old. The singer could only laugh about the matter, saying, "I'm numb to it."
As for Nickleback, they have just released their eighth album entitled 'No Fixed Address' which has reportedly been assembled in varying studios around the world, partially because he and Lavigne have very hectic schedules.
