Zak Williams said his family is trying hard to stay resilient and strong for one another about coping with life without its head, recognized and Oscar awardee actor Robin Williams. "The key thing that I want people to know is that we're doing okay," says Zak last Thursday during the yearly Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation social event where he demonstrated a mark of respect for his father's friendship with the late Superman star.

Robin's elder son also reiterated the importance of letting people know that although healing may be a very long and gruelling process, the help of the people around them has made it possible to manage their loss and grief.
Zak also called upon the spirit of his father and of his extraordinary friend, Christopher Reeve, as he spoke to the crowd and asked them of 2 things.
First was for his audience to tell their loved ones how much they are cared for and respected. He emphasized the importance of hope in people's lives and that it is never gone amidst both physical and mental anguish.
His second note challenged people to show mercy and kindness to those around them. He spoke of the significance of bringing brightness, restoration, and recovery to those who are in the dark and in pain.
In a night that aimed to commemorate the remarkable development made by the Reeves family's foundation, Alexandra Reeve-Givens, the late Christopher Reeve's only daughter, remarked how acknowledging some of the industry's losses has helped them further understand their father's cause.
This note pertained to Williams himself and fellow artists director Mike Nichols and actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Will Reeve, Christopher and Dana Reeve's only son, also only had praises for the late comedian. He recalled how Robin Williams illuminated the Reeve home with his comic light and humor for as long as he can remember, "He and dad made each other laugh and they stood by each other to the end," ended Will.
