The Duggar family has recently been at the center of backlash after an online petition appeared on the website, Change.org. The petition was created to urge the network into canceling the family's reality show, '19 Kids and Counting'; Support for the petition has caught the attention of people and signatures have since skyrocketed and has received more than 100,000 signatures to date.

But, the family is not going down without a fight. The Duggars released their own petition urging TLC to keep their show on the air. Michelle Duggar posted shared the link to their petition on the family's official Facebook page, the link which was originally posted by ipetitions.com came with the caption, "The Duggar family is under attack from anti-marriage advocates for standing by the beliefs of traditional marriage. We commend the Duggar Family for their brave stand in defending marriage as an act ordained by God between one man and one woman. A persons sexual behavior and chosen lifestyle has no right to redefine what marriage is."
The origin of the petition to save the show is unknown but it has exceeded the 1,000 signature goal with 44,949 signatures to date.
The initial petition was created by another unknown source at Change.org earlier this month, the goal of the said petition was to end the LGBTQ fear mongering by the Duggar family after they have been accused of being anti-gay. The petition came with the message, "The Duggars have been using their fame to promote discrimination, hate and fear against the gays and the transgendered. You need to take a stand on the side of justice and sign this petition to cancel their show."
TLC has not commented on the Change.org petition, the petition makers are hoping to reach another 500,000 signatures.
