Tsai released her new album Play in November. The album concept is from Tsai's, these two years' experience and understanding of her life. Tsai once again becomes the music director of the album and plays the role of MV director, using the music and lyrics that she likes in the album. She describes the album as ten different movies' theme music and "plays" different roles in the songs.
"Hope the album can entertain myself and others, giving happiness and moves to everyone," Tsai shares the original intention of this album.
Tsai works with many super stars in this album. For instance, she works with JJ Lin and Carina Lau Kar-ling on the song, The Third Person and I; and the song, I'm not Yours, done with Japanese music queen Namie Amuro. The release of each song causes wide discussion among the netizens.
The theme song, I play, is titled as Top ten of brainwashing "Divine Tune," which means very creative, peculiar, funny, strange, and unexpected. It is not a positive word for mainstream music, but Tsai responded, "as long as the audience likes, it is ok if they think of my song when they mention the word 'brainwashing'."
Tsai also mentions that females must hold the attitude of self-confidence. She says she cheers herself in front of mirror every day. "Must tell yourself you are beautiful!"
A few days ago, former boyfriend Jay Chou posted the picture of him and girlfriend Hannah Quinlivan, confirming they will marry soon. Tsai stated that she has sent wishes to Jay Chou already. "Indeed very happy that everyone has another choice in their lives," said Tsai. But she did not respond if she would go to the Jay Chou's wedding.
