Rupesh Paul Productions revealed plans for the MH370 movie at the ongoing Cannes International Film Festival in France being held from May 14 to 25.

The MH-370 inspired movie entitled "The Vanishing Act" is currently being promoted at Cannes. The Indian production company claims the film will tell the untold story of the missing plane.

Indian filmmaker Rupesh Paul, who also owns the production company, will direct the movie. He said he hopes to begin shooting in India and the US and plans to release the movie on September 14.

Rupesh Paul is a screenwriter, poet, and film director who directed his first film in 2008. Two of his movies, Saint Dracula 3D and Kamasutra 3D, have been included in the list of submissions for best foreign film in the Academy Awards.

Associate director, Sritama Dutta, told the Associated Press the only similarity between the film and the plane tragedy is that it involves a missing aircraft.

A representative of Rupesh Paul Productions also said the film will not be a direct adaptation of the real-life disaster since not much is really known about the facts behind the disappearance of Flight MH370.

Flight MH370 in all likelihood disappeared over the southern Indian Ocean last March 8, and remains missing to this day. International search teams have yet to find any physical trace of the missing plane.

All 239 passengers and crew members of the ill-fated flight are presumed dead.
