For more than 10 years, Xie Shuiping has been punched, slapped, kicked, slugged and jabbed by hundreds of people across China. But he has no qualms about it and is, in fact, looking for more people to punch him.
Xie, now 48 years old, earns a living by being a punching bag by people who are stressed, angry, or are just looking for someone to punch. It's a job that gives him at least 20,000 yuan, or around US $3,200, a month.

"I'm not afraid of being punched in the stomach. The only thing I fear is not to find someone who will punch me because that would mean I won't earn anything," Xie said.
Xie, however, is not just an ordinary punching bag. He was able to sustain the beating for the past 10 years by practicing qigong, a Chinese martial art that focuses on breathing exercises. Qiqong, he said, makes his abdomen nearly as hard as steel.
While his wife does not support the kind of job that he has - a human punching bag - he explained that there is nothing wrong with taking a punch or even a beating just to earn money that could be used for the people he loves.
"This is how I support my family," he said.
For more than 10 years, Xie has been travelling around China, visiting bars and nightclubs to offer his abdomen to people who are looking for a fight but don't want to get hurt.
Each session lasts for 20 minutes, where customers in a bar or nightclubs are allowed to punch his stomach three times. And to make the performance even more exciting, a customer who can take Xie down with a punch on the stomach can receive free drinks from the bar.
From a solo performer, Xie now has an agent responsible for booking him in various bars and clubs. Each booking give Xie around US $500.
"At first I just considered as something for fun but then I realized that I could earn money doing this," Xie said.
And there's not plan yet for Xie to stop, in fact, he said he wants to make his performance known all over China so he can book a show in the United States.
"I want to visit Seattle to visit the late Kung Fu legend Bruce Lee. He was one of the reasons why I enjoy being punched in the stomach," Xie said.
