A magnitude 7 earthquake struck China's Sichuan province on April 20 with over 186 lives dead and 11,200 injured. At least 24 people have been missing.

The number of dead and missing continues to soar up with the rescuing work going on.

The emergency workers are effected by the hilly terrain and damage to the area when headed to the southwestern province of Sichuan. 

The earthquake hit just after 8 a.m. on Saturday, approximately 70 miles from the provincial capital of Chengdu. The epicenter is Lushan county where the quake shakes most strongly. The quake was followed by numerous aftershocks, some of them as strong as a magnitude 5.1.
