Despite the game being relocated to Ford Field in Detroit, the National Football League's (NFL) Buffalo Bills beat the New York Jets in an impressive fashion, outscoring them by 35 points (38-3).

The win of the Bills was truly a team effort.

Quarterback Kyle Orton passed for a total of 230 yards. He even threw two touchdown passes: a seven-yard pass to Robert Woods in the first quarter and a 19-yard driller to Scott Chandler in the second quarter.

After catching the touchdown shortly before halftime, Chandler began mimicking a shovelling motion, which was a nod to the people back in Buffalo who were going through the same motions to get out of several feet of snow.

"It was a little bit of a tribute to the people of Buffalo," Chandler said. "You want to do something special for our fans. They did a great job showing up for us tonight, and for the people back there, we're behind you."

Woods also set a new career high with nine catches for 118 yards for the Bills.

Apart from the quarterback and wide receivers, Manny Lawson also recovered a blocked punt in the end zone.

The Bills came in to the game with an NFL-high 39 sacks.

The defense of the Bills was able to sack Jets quarterback Michael Vick, seven times throughout the game and limited them to 218 total yards. This brings their sack-tally to 46 in the NFL.

Vick went 7-of-19 for 76 yards with an interception before getting replaced by Geno Smith, who went 10-of-12 for 89 yards and a turnover.

Chris Johnson and Chris Ivory combined their efforts for a total of 71 yards over 14 carries. The Jets are now 0-5 on the road.

The Bills have now defeated the Jets twice this season by a combined 55 points on both encounters.
