Christian Bale still doesn't feel good after last year's big news came that he won't be reprising his Batman role anymore, which was offered to Ben Affleck instead.

Affleck, who recently scored a box-office hit in the mystery thriller Gone Girl, is slated to play Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In the latest issue of Empire magazine, Comic Book Movie revealed that Christian Bale aired his thoughts after learning that the Caped Crusader role would no longer be given to him.

"I've got to admit initially, even though I felt that it was the right time to stop, there was always a bit of me going, 'Oh, go on ... Let's do another,'" Bale told the magazine.

"So when I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour." Yes, Batman stared into nothingness, contemplating the realization that his cape was forever hung up.

But what really makes Bale's statement intriguing is "the fact that I'm jealous of someone else playing Batman."

However, he admitted that he should have moved from that already.

In an interview with Access Hollywood November last year while promoting his film Out of the Furnace, Bale did not seem affected after hearing the news. In fact, he told in the interview that he wished only the best for Affleck.

While Bale seems to mask a rather good poker face, inside, you could definitely tell that his really crumbling inside.

Bale has already won an Oscar for best supporting actor for his critically acclaimed role in The Fighter (2010).

Since 2005, Bale has been associated with the Batman role, portraying the character in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

Bale will soon hit theatre to relive Moses in the Biblically-inspired epic, Exodus: Gods and Kings.
