Stephen Curry of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Golden State Warriors lifts his team up to beat the Miami Heat by 17 points (114-97).

Previously, Curry had been in a slump, as he shot 8 for 24 in his previous two games.

However, he showed that it wasn't the same going into this game with the Heat.

"You just feel a rhythm," Curry said. "I had guys set some great screens early to kind of get me going. You start finding shots and it feels good. Even the ones I missed terribly felt good, which is pretty funny."

He would score 40 points on 11 of 18 shooting, including eight 3-point shots. He also led the game in assists and steals, 7 and 3 respectively.

The Heat started the game in impressive fashion, opening a 31-22 lead on Mario Chalmers' corner 3-pointer with about two minutes left in the first quarter. They led by as much as 16 in the first half.

However, the Warriors rallied early and had a 23-8 run.

In the fourth quarter, the Warriors scored 14 straight points to open a 12 point lead (107-95). Curry and Thompson kept the momentum going with consecutive 3-pointers.

Klay Thompson, who shot for 57 percent, contributes 24 points for the Warriors.

This marks the sixth consecutive victory for the Warriors.

"You always stay confident, stay ready," Curry said. "You win games all sorts of ways with different individual performances. How we shot last game had nothing to do with this game. If we execute our offense well, you're going to get good shots."

Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr said praised his team afterwards, saying that the beauty of their team is that they can play both ends of scoring and guarding.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra acknowledged their defensive shortcomings as well, saying that their defense really stepped up. When they started to score, the Heat just wasn't able to sustain it.
