Derrick Rose, point guard of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Chicago Bulls, left after only 10 minutes into the game against the Denver Nuggets and was not able to return for the second half. This ultimately led to the team losing the game (114-109).
Right after the game, the Bulls listed the occurrence as an injury of the left hamstring. However, when Rose was spoken to after the game, he said that his hamstring was all good and he did not have a setback.

"It wasn't nothing like I'm limping or I pulled it or anything, it wasn't any of that," Rose said. "It was just that I wasn't moving the way I wanted to while I was on the floor. So why push through it when I wasn't able to affect the game the way I wanted to?"
Rose has a history with injuries. In the 2011-2012 season, he tore the anterior cruciate ligament on his left knee.
After a year off, he returned for the 2013-2014 season, but met misfortune yet again when he tore his right knee meniscus.
Given his history with injuries, it set the stage for Bulls Head Coach Tom Thibodeau's decision.
Thibodeau said that he did not want to take any chances on reinjuring Rose, so he took him out for precautionary reasons.
In those ten minutes, Rose went only 1 for 4 on the floor.
Rose has already missed eight games this season, with four of those due to a sprained ankle.
When Thibodeau was asked about the situation, he said that Rose has got to go out there and play.
He added that in time, when Rose strings some games together, he will really take off.
Ty Lawson of the Nuggets scored 20 points, including a key jumper in the dying seconds that clinched the game.
Arron Afflalo added 19 points to the Nuggets, while Danilo Gallinari contributed 15 of his own.
This is the fifth straight win of the Nuggets.
