The Republicans have two strong possible candidates for the Presidential Race 2016 but a poll from the Quinnipiac University showed Mitt Romney is well ahead of Jeb Bush.

Bush has been the second most popular pick for the Republican voters but Romney, who insisted he will not be running, ranked first with a 19 percent support from the Republican voters.

However, when Romney was dropped off from the list, Bush has been leading with 14 percent of support and is followed by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie with 11 percent support. For the third rank, Ben Carson is at nine percent and lastly, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky had an eight percent support.

According to the assistant director of the said poll, Tim Malloy, Christie's presence in the mix makes the Republican voters think they could choose from more moderate choices for the 2016 elections.

According to a report by Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register in Iowa, Romney was also the first choice while Carson came in second. As for Bush, he is set to visit the state within this year and has only received a four percent support.

However, Bush is much more favored in New Hampshire as there is an eight percent support even if Romney was included in the mix. This was according to a report by the Saint Anselm New Hampshire Poll published Monday this week.

As for the candidate of the Democrats, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has gained the support of 57 percent of Democrat voters. She is followed by Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts with a 13 percent support. Vice President Joe Biden comes in at third place with a nine percent support.

When Clinton was taken out of the mix, Biden got 34 percent while Warren got 25 percent. Because of this, critics predict it will be a competitive race between the two.

If the polls prove to be accurate, Romney and Clinton will neck-to-neck in the Presidential Race 2016. The survey was conducted among 1,623 registered voters including 610 Dems and 707 Republicans.
