After the strong shake struck a remote, rural corner of southwestern China, many charity activities started to offer help. A Chinese billionaire and philanthropist Chen Guangbiao went to the quake - hit zone to donate money and hand out the food and other stuffs.

Chen became known as a big giver after the catastrophic Sichuan Earthquake in 2008. He rushed to the scene with cranes and trucks to rescue survivors. 

He spent 54 days there and donated more than 100 million yuan (US$15 million) for post-quake construction. His merciful deeds rewarded him with the title of "China's top philanthropist" by the public nationwide.

This time, he handed out massive emergency stuffs including money people needed in the difficult time.
