Speculations that Wu is still unable to move on from her breakup with Shum, whom she dated for two years, has surfaced recently after it has been reported that the actress is still living at the same residence she shared with him.
Last week, the actress admitted that she has long broken up with the marketing entrepreneur. It came as shock to the public because last year, they have openly discussed their intentions to get married.
Wu explained that their breakup had been a peaceful one and also denied allegations that Shum cheated on her. According to media reports, the actress did not deny any possibility of reconciling with her former boyfriend, but she has also emphasized that since she is a single woman now, she wants to focus on her work.
However, despite her claims, rumors that she and Shum have not officially broken up also surfaced. The actress is allegedly still living in the apartment they've rented together at Jardine's Lookout and some have claimed that the couple is only in a cool-off period, not an actual breakup. In addition, insiders have also reported that the actress was seen driving Shum home.
Wu, on the other hand, denied the rumors that she and Shum are still together, saying that they have officially broken up months ago and that he has already moved out.
She has also explained that she is still staying at the apartment because the lease contract has not ended yet.
When asked if living at the old apartment still stirs up old feelings she had for Shum, she said, "Yes, but you still have to continue living."
She was also asked if she had plans to renew the contract for the apartment, but the actress merely stated that she isn't sure yet, but stated that she likes the place.
