Hong Kong singer Andy Lau's wife Carol Chu, despite having a wealthy background, is said to be a very frugal person after she was spotted shopping at an affordable house ware company.
Recently, media outlets have noted that Chu is not much of a spender after she was spotted shopping at a cheap shop for house wares. Lau's wife is said to have been shopping for discounted dehumidifiers. The same day, the singer's wife is said to have gone shopping for clothes at a discount retailer.

Media reporters have also stated that the actress and her friends had been spotted shopping for furniture for her two-year old daughter, Hanna, at a store called IKEA. Chu is said to have spent a long time looking for beds and other furniture and stopped by a store which had pink decorations. In the end, Lau's wife is said to have purchased a bed which only costs $1,190 HKD.
Chu tried her best not to be spotted by the media while shopping, disguising herself in plain clothes and wearing a mask. However, she was spotted because her bodyguards had been following close by.
On the other hand, an insider source revealed that Lau and Chu's daughter is growing rather quickly, so Chu has decided to buy a new bed for her. The source also shared that the couple is currently choosing a school for Hanna, but they have allegedly not agreed yet on whether the child will be sent to an international school or a traditional school.
As for Andy Lau, the singer is said to have refused to hold another concert this year at the Hong Kong Coliseum because he allegedly wanted to spend more time with his wife in order to have another child, preferably a son.
It was rumored that Chu was pregnant again, but Lau shot down the rumors earlier this year.
