According to Korean media reports, the six members all signed the contract with the talent outfit back in March 2011, but they are said to have taken action against what they deemed as, a 'slave contract' issued by the company.
Based on insider reports, the members of the band claimed that the contract caused them to be subjected under unfair treatment and demands from the entertainment label, also adding that their privacy is being violated.
Furthermore, despite their heavy workload which included both local and overseas promotions, the boy group is said to be receiving unjust payments which they've allegedly dubbed as 'unfavorable'. Sources stated that since their debut in 2011, the boys have only received a total of 18 million won in compensation.
The members of the band purportedly alleged in their complaint that the contract they have signed is unilaterally beneficial only to their managing company and unfair to them.
The boys also complained on the length of time they must be bound to the company as stipulated in the contract. According to reports, the contract stipulates that they must stay with the company for a minimum of seven years subsequent to the release of their first album which is longer than most contracts in the entertainment industry that only limits to three to four years.
In addition, the band members have also complained that they have been suffering from different health problems since their debut, due to their heavy workload such as the release of a total of 11 albums and going on world tours.
On the other hand, an official statement has been released by the TS Entertainment confirming the existence of a lawsuit and claims that they have tried their best to support the boy band.
The company also stated that they are currently looking into the matter and going through the details of the complaint, but they vehemently denied to have subjected B.A.P. under a slave contract.
