South Korean talent outfit SM Entertainment has announced that girl group f(x)'s Taiwanese -American member, Amber Liu, is going to have her solo debut next year.
According to a Korean media outlet, Sports DongA, Liu will be the first member of f(x) who will be making a solo debut. SM Entertainment has released an official statement earlier today in lieu to the claims, saying that they have had discussions over making an album for Liu's solo debut, but they have also stated that they have not yet decided on the release date.
On the other hand, it has been speculated earlier that the album is due for release in February next year.
Despite that, fans are excited for this milestone that the singer, who is receiving a lot of love from international and local fans alike because of her tomboyish charms, is taking on, praising her for her singing and rapping skills.
Furthermore, while the other f(x) members are busy with their acting careers, Liu is said to be taking on a musical debut in order to make a name for herself by releasing an album which would showcase a different style of music compared to f(x).
On the other hand, after the release of their third album entitled 'Red Light' last July, the other members have all been promoting on their own. While Amber has been cast as the MC of a show called 'A Song For You', Krystal Jung is currently starring in the drama 'My Lovely Girl' with Korean superstar Rain.
Victoria Song has also been furthering her acting career and will be starring in the Chinese drama 'Beautiful Secret' while Sulli, who is said to be on a break as of the moment, also starred in the film 'Fashion King'.
