Football legend and model David Beckham and his teen son Brooklyn were involved in a car crash, although the two were, thankfully, not injured, a report from the Telegraph can reveal.

Beckham came to pick up 15-year-old Brooklyn, who was training at Arsenal, when the Audi that he was driving crashed outside Arsenal's training ground in Hertfordshire.

The two were spared from any surgery, thanks to the vehicle's airbags.

A source close to Beckham told Telegraph that the two were really "shaken" by the accident.

"It was quite a heavy prang at quite a speed but everybody walked away uninjured. Everybody's fine. Thankfully the car's airbags deployed," he continued.

Brooklyn, who was signed by Arsenal for a short-term contract November for its under-16s, had just finished a match against Brighton's under-16s before the retired football star fetched him.

Thomas Cadman, who plays for Brighton under-16s, posted the accident on Twitter, saying: "Weird to play against Brooklyn Beckham earlier. Even weirder to be currently stuck behind David Beckham as he has crashed his car."

Meanwhile, Brooklyn's team-mate tweeted: "Just seen David Beckham looks like he got in a car crash and hurt his shoulder. Star struck by seeing David Beckham tbh.'

Beckham and wife Victoria's two younger sons, Romeo, 12, and Cruz, nine, are also playing for Arsenal's underage teams.

This is not the first time that Beckham has been involved in a vehicle accident, although he was lucky enough to escape unscathed.

In 2011, he and Brooklyn were involved a car crash in LA.

In 2013, the two also got into a car wreck outside their Beverly Hills mansion, where his family lived from 2007, after he joined Los Angeles Galaxy, until he decided to retire and move back to England in 2012. The Beckhams, though, still retain ownership of their opulent California home.

August 2014, David was riding his motorcyle on Sunset Strip in LA when he met another accident.
