It was a bloody Black Friday for shoppers at Nordstrom in Chicago when a man shot a woman inside a crowded store at night when consumers were in the middle of their shopping frenzy.
The gunman, identified as 31-year-old Marcus Dee, shot himself after shooting the woman, according to Chicago police.

The sound of bullets sent shoppers scampering toward the back of the store, located at the corner of Grand and Wabash.
John Escalante, Chicago police chief of detectives, said the gunman went inside Nordstrom and had an apparent target, a 22-year-old woman who was likely his girlfriend or former girlfriend.
She was initially reported as critically injured, but died on Saturday night at the Northwestern Hospital.
She was an employee of Nordstrom and studies at the University of Chicago, although her family is from Florida. Prior to the shooting at about 8:30 p.m., the two were seen talking. A disagreement probably came up since she stood up and walked away from Dee, which provoked the gunman, said to be the son of Chicago Police officers, to shoot her. He then killed himself, according to the police report.
NBC cites court records that the woman's sister tried to get a restraining order against Dee from the Cook County Circuit Court on April 7, 2014, but failed after Judge Cynthia Ramirez turned down their request. The sister filed another request the following day, but Judge Caroline Kate Moreland also rejected the request.
The couple dated from August 2012 until they broke up in December 2013, according to the sister who added that Dee physically and mentally abused his girlfriend.
"It was like months and months of psychological torment. I would say there was a lot of emotional traumatizing phrases and words," the victim's brother told Sun-Times.
The incident caused Nordstrom to close the store on Saturday, but said it would reopen on Sunday.
