Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. recently launched new internet TVs in China in partnership with Chinese consumer electronics company Haier Electronics Group.
The new internet TVs come in three different sizes: a 55 inch model, a 48 inch model and a 42 inch model. Reports claim two other models will also be available.

The new internet TVs offer users access to Alibaba's Taobao website and Tmall marketplaces. It also provides users access to entertainment programs, video games and movies.
The move marks a renewed effort by the Chinese e-commerce company to enter the Internet TV market once again. This follows last year's attempt when it launched a smart TV in collaboration with Chinese TV developer, Skyworth.
Alibaba said its new TV platform provides users with online shopping. The platform will allow users to purchase selected items sold only by a limited number of sellers that already have high reputation on the websites.
Reports say 200,000 items are available for purchase through the TV platform. Users that buy the new Internet TVs will also receive coupons that can be used to shop online.
The TVs offer movies and TV shows from Lions Gate Entertainment and video games from many game developers such Capcom and Konami.
China's internet TV market is apparently attracting other Chinese tech companies, including Chinese search engine company Baidu, Inc. and the world's third largest smartphone maker Xiaomi, Inc.
Baidu had already launched smart TVs that run on the company's own operating system. Earlier this month, Xiaomi announced it's further investing US$1 billion to improve and expand its internet TV business.
