Obama Fans Demand Firing Of GOP Staff Elizabeth Lauren For Bullying Malia & Sasha

(Photo : Reuters) U.S. President Barack Obama's daughters Sasha (L) and Malia listen to their father during the pardoning of the National Thanksgiving Turkey "Cheese" at the White House in Washington November 26, 2014.
Elizabeth Lauten's apology to Malia and Sasha Obama, done as a Facebook newsfeed, is not enough for many Americans who disagree with her online criticism of the presidential daughters. Fans of the two teens, in fact, are seeking her resignation as communications director of Republican Rep. Stephen Fincher.

Gina Smith tweeted that Lauten's misdirected anger at Obama, vented on the president's daughters, is shameful. She proposed that Lauten be "canned."
Robert Boseley doubted that she prayed over her action and advised her to "gracefully" exit from her position, but Terrell McCray wanted outright firing, explaining that Lauten's comments about the president's children were "unwarranted" and clearly depicted a bullying case.
Harrison and Emily Bernard joined McCray in asking Fincher to boot Lauten out of his office.
Lauten is now on the defensive side as a result of the backlash from strong words she used to describe the behavior of the Obama daughers at the White House's annual Turkey Pardoning rite.
In her newsfeed, Lauten urged the two to display a little more class by dressing properly for important White House occasions, not like they are going to a bar. The communications director also advised them against making faces during public events shown on TV.
In her apology, Lauren acknowledged judging Sasha and Malia too quickly when she herself hated being judged when she was a teenager. She also prayed, talked to her father and mother and reviewed what she wrote. Properly chastised in social media, Lauten vowed that she has learned and matured from this episode in her life.
Not surprisingly, the hashtag #ElizabethLauten trended on Twitter as netizens gave their two-cents worth on the issue.
Ken Hong doubted the communication skills of Lauten in his tweet, sharing that as a communications practitioner for over two decades, he thinks that Lauten lacks the "fundamentals of social media."
Julie Biore-Bizot opines that insulting Malia and Sasha with her Facebook newsfeed is what is classless, and marissa nicole believes having Michelle Obama for a mother has given the two young ladies enough style and class.
Jeff Glasse added, "Insulting teenagers in an open letter to score points against their father pretty much makes you a terrible person."
