Worship services on Sunday all over Ferguson have urged recovery and healing after a week of looting, fires, and standoffs between the people and the police after no indictment has been announced over police officer Darren Wilson in the killing of black teenager Michael Brown.
However, despite the statements regarding recovery and healing, there were still calls about activism asking the people to continue the movement regarding raising the questions about race and police behavior. Clergy members pointed out these should not be allowed nor forgotten.

Rev. Shaun Ellison Jones, the assistant pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church-Christian Complex, noted that he is tired of living the way he is in their city in reference to unjust laws.
"As Christians, our church encourages us to be engaged in the life of the city, the life of our community," Jones adds. He also pointed urged the congregants to ride a chartered bus to Jefferson City on the first day of the legislative session this coming January in order to make their opinions be heard.
He also talked about the problems being faced all over the St. Louis region exposed by the death of Brown. He said, "Ferguson is not just in one ZIP code."
The White House also recently announced that United States President Barack Obama is planning to have a meeting on Monday to talk about the unrest and conflict in Ferguson.
Also, city leaders of Ferguson announced that Wilson is no longer an employee as he submitted his resignation. Leaders pointed out that he will be receiving no pension, severance packages, or other benefits.
In line with the announcement regarding Wilson's resignation, Mayor James Knowles III noted that this is an opportunity for Ferguson to begin its healing process in reference to both the citizens and the police department. "We truly understand that the past few months have been very difficult for everyone involved," the mayor adds.
