The 81-year-old movie and television icon, who has also revealed the disturbing ordeal in her autobiography, bluntly discussed the incident in the new documentary Brave New World.

Reed and Collins were married for four years. He passed away in 1974.

In the documentary directed by Cecilia Peck (the late Gregory Peck's daughter), Collins shared her harrowing experience on how she "was raped [by Reed] when I was 17 years old."

81-year-old Collins, best remembered as the antagonist Alexis in the soap opera Dynasty, revealed that Reed drugged her before he sexually assaulted her. She was still then a virgin, she said.

Collins, then a rising celebrity, had signed a contract with Rank film studios and was a budding performer.

She went on a date with Reed, where he offered her rum and Coke and a pornographic material to read.

"The next thing I knew, I was out flat on the sofa in that living room and he was raping me," she narrated.

"And what he had given me was a drug. He had drugged my drink. It wasn't my fault but I didn't know, I went out with him," she continued.

After the incident, Collins continued to naively date him.

They eventually tied the knot after Reed proposed for a marriage in 1952.

"Well I better [marry him] because you know, he took my virginity,' she said matter-of-factly.

However, Collins had mixed feelings of guilt and hatred for Reed.

"I really hated him, but I was so filled with guilt, that he had done this thing to me."

After the incident, Collins said that it took her time to trust any man again.

Their marriage ended in divorce in 1956.

Collins married for five times after that to the following: Anthony Newley (1963-1971; divorced), Ronald S. Kass  (1972-1983; divorced), Peter Holm (1985-1987; divorced), and Percy Gibson (since 2002).
