Artist Collaborators Who Worked With Shia LaBeouf On ‘#IAMSORRY’ Confirm He Was Raped

It seems Shia LaBeouf is making a legit claim when he said that he was raped by a woman at the Cohen Gallery in LA during his performance in the art show #IAMSORRY last February after two artists who he worked with during the production confirmed his statements, Washington Post reports.

Luke Turner and Säde Rönkkö Rönkkö, two artists who collaborated with LaBeouf on the "#IAMSORRY" production, both tweeted about the alleged rape claim.

Rönkkö tweeted Nov. 30:

"Nowhere did we state that people could do whatever they wanted to Shia during #IAMSORRY."

"As soon as we were aware of the incident starting to occur, we put a stop to it and ensured that the woman left."

Meanwhile, Turner's statement followed after an inquiry made by Piers Morgan, who shrugged the Transformers actor's claim given that he did not attempt to stop the woman.

Turner tweeted:

"@piersmorgan It wasn't clear at the time precisely what had happened, & the 1st priority was to ensure everybody's safety in the gallery...1/2"

"@piersmorgan She ran out, rather than simply walking away. Beyond that, it's not my place to comment. 2/2"

LaBeouf's revelation came during his interview with Dazed magazine.

LeBeouf was the one who requested for the rather unorthodox interview, which took place via e-mail.

In his interview, LaBeouf discussed that he is actually not the first actor to give in to the demands of those who lined up to observe him. He cited Marina Abramović's performance on Rhythm 0 at the Galleria Studio Morra in Naples in 1974, where she let the audience have a free hand on her body. She ended up with cuts and exposed breasts.

LaBeouf's art show was possibly a form of penance for plagiarizing the Daniel Clowes comic "Justin M. Damiano" for his movie Howard Cantour.com.

"I made a short film with another person's (Daniel Clowes') ideas, took it to Cannes and never properly accredited him," told Dazed writer Aimee Cliff.

LaBeouf has recently been under the spotlight for his rather odd behavior, including an arrest after creating nuisance at a Broadway performance of Cabaret and a stint at a rehab.
