The state media reported Thursday, that China has decided to banish a senior "naked official," meaning one whose wife and kids have already moved abroad, from his position in the southern province of Guangdong, as the anti-graft campaign of the government concentrates on a group that could allegedly be a risk for corruption.

Xinhua news agency stated that the Organization Department of the Guangdong Communist Party said in a statement on Monday that Deputy Chief Fan Xuan will be retiring early.
According to Xinhua news, the authorities discovered that Fang is a naked official, one of the first groups of authorized personnel to lose his post as the Chinese government starts an across-the-board campaign to get rid of such officials.
Last year, President Xi Jinping began a concentrated effort to stop the invasive corruption because of the growing public resentment towards the alleged stability-obsessed Chinese Communist Party.
However, the campaign is allegedly also viewed as a way to remove Xi's opponents and critics and replace them with people who are willing to give their support to his leadership.
In January, the state media reported that naked officials will not be considered for any kind of promotion, since they are believed to be flight risks because of their capabilities to get out of the country easily, making them more inclined to perform different acts of corruption.
Xinhua reported that naked officials were a big problem in Guangdong province, since it is strategically located near the borders of Hong Kong.
A lot of Chinese officials allegedly have been seizing the chance of using an investment scheme in Hong Kong to hoard more than $1 million per person, by using different ways like purchasing a residential property in far-flung African countries, since the said scheme is not offered for residents of mainland China.
