Hong Kong director Patrick Kong reportedly wishes to assembled the cast of 'Come On, Cousin' for his upcoming film, but Wong Cho Lam's participation in the film is still unconfirmed because he was allegedly asking for a $3 million HKD sum for his appearance.
Kong is said to be trying to work out a solution in order to get Wong to star in his movie since he is allegedly requiring the director to pay $3 million HKD in order for him to participate.

Reports say that paying the actor such an amount will result to a net loss for the film. Additionally, it is higher than the fees that other A-list Hong Kong artists usually receive.
The director explained that if the target market of the film was Mainland China, the film would be able to get a higher revenue and it would not be a problem paying the actor $3 million HKD. However, since Kong meant to make the movie for Hong Kong, it would cause a huge loss for the production.
Kong has admitted that Wong's compensation for the film is an issue as of the moment, but added that he will be trying to persuade the actor sincerely, stating that he will not give up on it.
Furthermore, he explained that he is not offering the actor a cameo appearance, stating that Wong will be playing quite a substantial role for the film.
When asked if he would replace Wong in the event that he does not agree, the director said, "No, no one can replace him. There will be a way to solve the money issue."
In spite of the issue, the director has even defended Wong, claiming that he is in no way saying that the latter is only thinking about money. He also praised the actor for his efforts in helping directors review scripts.
On the other hand, Wong is busy preparing for his upcoming wedding on Valentine's Day next year and has recently shared some of his wedding photos to the public.
