Renowned YouTube GTA tipster DomisLive (Dom) released a video yesterday describing leaked info about Christmas-related downloadable content and the Cops n' Crooks game mode coming to GTA Online.
Dom speculated that the game mode would be included with the Christmas DLC, but now additional leaked info suggests Rockstar Games will be releasing the game mode with the same update as Heists and will essentially be merging the two modes into the same missions.
Cops n' Crooks was first implemented in "GTA 4" and involves players split into two teams: one team as the crooks and the other team as cops. The crooks attempt to escort a boss or themselves to a destination while the cops attempt to kill all the crooks.
Found within files of the game coding, one of the merged missions titled "CnC - Country Bank Heist" reads, "Rob rural bank wearing ballistic armor and get money to your bank house. Crooks must hold up the cashier and get her to open the vault, then take the money from the vault, get to the driver players, then escape to the gang house. 16 cops and 4 criminals can join."
The second description of leaked Heists missions found in game coding reads, "Get behind the counter of the bank, hack into the vault, steal the money and take it to the drop-off location. 16 cops and 4 criminals can join."
Additionally, the final leaked mission description reads, "Criminals to intercept noose van on the way to the police headquarters. Cops are told to drive noose van and crooks have to steal and get it to the base. 2 cops and 4 criminals can join."
Rockstar announced that they'd be releasing the Heists DLC with the "next big update" which means it should be coming with the 1.19 update for last-gen console users and 1.05 update for next-gen users. And with the upcoming Christmas DLC that's said to be coming this month as well, that means Rockstar will be releasing two updates within the same month.
Considering Rockstar typically release updates on a Tuesday, speculation among GTA enthusiasts suggests the Heists DLC to be released on Dec. 9, and the Christmas DLC to be released just a couple days before the holiday on Dec. 23.
