The Los Angeles Kings turned the tables on the Chicago Blackhawks by achieving a 1-1 tie in the Game 2 of the Western Conference Final.
Joel Quenneville, the coach of Blackhawks, believed that they did everything right for the first 38 minutes but then the game against the Kings suddenly turned in to a "disaster," according to USA Today.

Wednesday's game showed that every mistake, penalty, and move is important. When the Kings scored a couple of third-period goals, they achieved a 6-2 victory to get a 1-1 tie in the best-of-seven series.
According to Kings center Anze Kopitar, goalie Jonathan Quick's big save on Chicago defenseman Brent Seabrook during a 2-on-1 break made the huge difference. Kings coach Darryl Sutter, on the other hand, thought that Justin William's second-period goal contributed a lot to their win.
Kings defenseman Drew Doughty said they were all just "staying positive" because they were confident they could emerge as Game 2's victors, with the third period turning out to be their best so far in the series.
Six of the King's goals went unanswered by their opponents. Jeff Carter managed to achieve three goals and one assist.
Even before they began their third-period slay, the Kings were already fired up, with Doughty seen hitting a bench with his stick out of frustration with many of their odd-man rushes being given up.
In the postseason, Los Angeles has a higher goal-scoring average compared to Chicago. For the Kings, this is the 11th time in 16 games that they have achieved at least three goals.
With the Kings as opponents, the Blackhawks have a narrower margin for error than their second round opposite the Minnesota Wild. Saturday's Game 3 series will be played in Los Angeles.
According to Chicago goalie Corey Crawford, their opponent got into penalty trouble and they used that to their advantage. Patrick Sharp of Blackhawks vowed to display a better performance for Game 3.
