In a rare move, Bill Cosby issued the first and so far his only public statement with regards to the sexual assault claims thrown at him...
No, he didn't deny or admit any of the claims, rather, he took to Twitter his gratitude to two celebrities who rallied behind him and in the process have received repercussions because of that.

Cosby tweeted his thanks to The View panelist Whoopi Goldberg and singer Jill Scott for supporting him through this tough time.
Goldberg aired her thoughts about the issue in the The View last month: "Perhaps the police might have believed [the allegation], or the hospital. Don't you do a kit when you say someone has raped you? ... I hope somebody gets to the bottom of this, but I'm going to reserve my judgment because I have a lot of questions, as I said. It's crazy, but I have a lot of questions, because I know we all have friends who have gone through this."
Scott meanwhile fell on heated debate on Twitter with some followers.
Here are Scott's tweets:
@ShelbyKnox oh ok. So they've proven the alleged allegations? I didn't know. Will they also be giving him back the millions he's donated?
@JasBaileyTweets sides with Mr. Cosby? No. I side with substantiated proof when media/society is attempting to destroy a magnificent Legacy
Rape is a despicable, cowardly crime. If you've been raped- plz do NOT shower, go to police IMMEDIATELY, have a rap kit done. GET EVIDENCE.
Around 20 women have already stepped out to accuse the comedian of sexual assault. Cosby remained mum about the issue. His lawyer meanwhile shrugged off the claims as totally baseless.
