"Jessica Jones" is the newest addition to the line of Marvel Comics superhero series being shown in Netflix. It is part of the Netflix and Marvel comics deal about streaming service sealed with Marvel. Netflix will show other Marvel series such as "Iron Fist", "Daredevil", "Luke Cage" and "Defenders" series.

According to Deadline, Mike Colter of "Ringer" and "The Good Wife" will play the Luke Cage's character, who is the love interest of Jessica Jones in the comics. Meanwhile, Charlie Cox of "Boardwalk Empire" was also being chosen to play the role of Daredevil.

In the comic series, "Jessica Jones", the character is a retired superhero who tried to establish a normal life and try not to use her powers. Jessica Jones works as a private eye and has the ability to fly, has a certain level of invulnerability and has a super strength.  Despite of the fact that Jessica Jones tries to give up her superhero life, Purple Man captured her and abused her.

All the Marvel Netflix are all set in the same universe as the movies and other shows on ABC. In 2015, "Daredevil" will premiere and will star Vincent D' Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll and Rosario Dawson. Meanwhile, "Jessica Jones" will also premiere by next year.

Ritter was previously involved to NBC's midseason comedy, "Mission Control", however, the show was cancelled before its debut. She appeared on "The Blacklist" and other television shows such as One Life to Live, Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. Ritter was also included in the movies "Vamps", "She's Out of My League" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic."

For those superhero fanatics, "Jessica Jones" is not the only Marvel Comics that you will watch for because there are many superhero series that are currently showing right now and will be shown in the future.
