Kim Kardashian and Kanye West exchanged I-Do's Saturday in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy.

The ceremony was held at the historic 16th century fortress, Forte di Belvedere, which offers an impressive 360 degree view of Florence and its countryside. Pastor Rich Wilkerson, Jr. officiated the wedding with guests reportedly getting emotional and teary-eyed during the ceremony.

The nuptials were kept intimate with about 1,600 friends and family attending the event, Yahoo reports.

Guests, who were flown in from Versailles the day before, were asked to hand over their cell phones prior to the wedding.

Guests included Kim's parents, Kris and Bruce, sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Scott Disick, best friend Jonathan Cheban, Lala Anthony, Brittny Gastineau, Simon Huck, Rachel Roy, Monica Rose, Robin Antin, Ray Romulus and of course, the couples baby daughter, North West.

Other famous guests included Andre Leon Tally, Alexander Wang, David Blaine, Big Sean, Chrissy Teigen, Tygi, Steve McQueen, Serena Williams, NeNe Leakes, Olivier Rousteing, Big Sean and Valentino.

Jaulin Decorations, who handled the design of the venue, incorporated Tuscan influenced designs similar to art dating back since the 13th century. White flowers, mostly roses, adorned the venue, complementing the displayed art by Vanessa Beecroft Art Installation.

The catering was done by Galateo Ricevimenti who served traditional Tuscan cuisine and designed a lavish 7-tier cake to celebrate the couple's union.

An entire orchestra played during the ceremony while Kanye surprised his new bride with a personal serenade by Lana del Rey. Italian singer-songwriter Andrea Bocelli also performed at the event.

Before the wedding took place, the couple celebrated with a kick-off costume party Friday night at a palace in Versailles where King Louis XIV and Queen Marie Antoinette had lived.

The Kardashians enjoyed a luncheon with Valentino at his place at the Chateu de Wideville just west of Paris early Saturday just before the ceremony.
